The word "family" means more to us than just Mom and Dad and kids. We are a More Light congregation and we treasure all kinds of families--including our gay and lesbian families, our single parents, and our families led by foster caregivers.
Sunday School
Our children are a big part of church life--especially on Sundays. We have special Sunday programs for every age. Learn more about them here.
Youth Programs

The church is alive among our youth! The mission of our youth program is to provide fellowship, support, and spiritual growth for all our young people. We also provide opportunities for them to engage in social justice activities and causes. The youth mission trip to help the homeless in LA was a highlight of our year (here are our photos/videos + FAQ). Check out past activities.
Children's Ministries
Children at First Pres learn by doing. Creek cleanups, plays and pageants, games, discussion groups, and active participation in the full life of the Church are just a few of the cornerstones of our children's programs.

We adults gather in a variety of small groups to discuss the needs of parents of newborns through teens. Click here to check out more information on these groups.
Just Plain Fun While Helping Others
Just Plain Fun While Helping Others is a program filled with intergenerational traditions such as making Christmas wreaths, collecting and wrapping Christmas for Others presents, creating Easter Baskets for battered women and children, and putting on a neighborhood Halloween party.
