F.L.O.W. Sunday at Puente de La Costa Sur

On Sunday, October 17, 2010, we had our second F.L.O.W. Sunday (standing for Faith Lived Out in the World).  We worshipped and worked at Puente de la Costa Sur Migrant Workers Center in the costal town of Pescadero.

Puente de la Costa Sur is a 10-year-old, 501c3 non-profit organization. Its mission is to provide vital services for men, women, children and families living in the rural San Mateo South Coast communities of Pescadero, La Honda, Loma Mar, and San Gregorio. Puente provides a single point of entry for men, women, and children to have access to safety net services, health and wellness services, youth employment and leadership development, and community engagement and action.

F.L.O.W. Sunday involved over 70 people from our faith community—young to old—in support of Puente de la Costa Sur and the migrant workers who benefit from the center’s presence. It was a Sunday where our Faith was Lived Out in the World!
