Adult Study: “What is Justice?”

In the introduction to her book, Social Justice Handbook, Mae Elise Cannon writes that “social justice is complicated. People have strong ideas about it! Say ‘social justice’ to one person and he or she will think you are a saint… but someone else may throw a fit and declare that you are a liberal activist who has abandoned the true fundamentals of Scripture.”

Maybe you’ve been doing justice work for decades or maybe you’ve only just begun to connect faith with justice. Maybe you’re struggling with how to talk about faith and justice with people with whom you disagree politically or theologically. Come join us!

Our Oct. 21 class is entitled “What is Justice?”

Come explore definitions of justice and how justice connects to faith and the Bible through the lens of creativity and discussion. We will focus on our lived experiences of seeking justice and do some digging into the Bible.
