On October 14, First Pres will be joining churches across the country to observe Bread for the World Sunday.  Bread for the World is a collective Christian voice urging our nation’s decision makers to end hunger at home & abroad.  By making our voices heard in Congress, we make our nation’s laws more fair and compassionate to people in need.

Each year, Bread for the World invites churches to write personal letters and emails to their members of Congress on issues that are important to those who are hungry and poor.  Social Justice Ministry will arrange for the congregation to have the opportunity to write letters to Senators Barbara Boxer and Diane Feinstein on Oct. 14th after Communal Worship.  The letters will be blessed during worship on Oct. 21 before being sent to our members of Congress.

Please join us on Oct. 14 both before and after church in the courtyard to write a letter.
