F.L.O.W. Sunday for Day Workers Center

On Sunday, June 27, 2010, we had our first F.L.O.W. Sunday (standing for Faith Lived Out in the World). Our task was to help raise money for the Day Workers Center of Mountain View.

After a special worship service that included the day workers themselves, we fanned out to our stations around the church campus. Some of us worked on the car wash, some tended a mouth-watering table of baked goods, and some worked our huge rummage sale. It was a special day in which many of us felt we experienced grace through work.

One hundred percent of the money raised that day was donated to the Day Workers Center on that same day.
